He was 4-F'd out of the Marine Corps (which he volunteered for, by the way) in 1965 because his knees were shot from track and field and basketball injuries then in 1971 he gets reclassified 1-A and drafted by the Army because they were running low on warm bodies to feed into the meat grinder. He was 100% correct to go awol.

What would you call it if not that? His post played well in Hicksville where he lives but in places where people don't wear bib overalls as a fashion statement it went over like a lead balloon. He also seemed not to notice or care that the gun nut lobby group he was shilling for had a promo code of "POLY" on their latest ads. It's beyond tone deaf.

Todd is a deserter from Nebraska (the definition of hicksville). I don't like guns, never owned one and have only shot guns twice in my life. However, I don't believe in ripping on someone because his/her views are different than mine. Todd, Wilde, Olbermann and others are the most closed minded people out there.

You were wrong re lockdowns and masks, doesn't mean you aren't a good friend.
 
From my limited knowledge (and interest) in this subject, my take is that the Libs' draft is overreaching and poorly worded, and could lead to banning a certain class of legitimate hunting rifles if the text is interpreted in a certain way. This leads to some saying that Trudeau wants to ban all hunting rifles (which I don't think is his intent). So as in politics, both sides are wrong in different ways. I understand that Price has a valid concern that needs to be brought up, but I also agree with WeHave's take that Price blindly relayed the message of a questionable lobby group (that promo code is a massive red flag).

And now Price is claiming not to know about the Ecole Polytechnique massacre despite the fact that he spent about 14 December 6th as a member of the Montreal Canadiens. The fact that he was only 3 when the shootings occurred is no excuse. WW2 ended a couple of decades before I was born but I am aware of it. Price isn't a Gen Z who thinks that nothing happened before they were born. He has no excuse not to know. He's a willfully ignorant hick (at best) who allowed himself to be used by a neo-fascist gun nut lobby group. He and his anti-vaxxer wife can just move to rural Washington for all I care. Thanks for the zero Cups, Carey. If you had any pride you'd retire and leave money on the table instead of pretending you're trying to make a comeback. You want to cozy up to fascists? You are dead to me.

As for the bill itself, I'm sure there will be amendments made before it goes to a vote. But even if every gun currently on the list for banning got banned, hunters would still have plenty of options when it comes to buying firearms. The entire campaign by the gun nutters is an attempt to get the bill tossed out altogether. Just like the NRA, this group also doesn't believe in gun control of any sort, they only care about "freedumb". They can also go fuck themselves.

On December 6th, 1989 I was living on Forest Hill Avenue, just a stone's throw from the EP. It's not a day I'll ever forget nor would ever want to relive. I really don't care about the rights of hunters. Let them use crossbows. If Trudeau wants to ban all guns I'm all for it. And anyone convicted of using a gun to commit a crime gets life without parole.
