Just a crazy thought, but maybe the Leafs can’t score in big games because the coach changes the way they play to limit offense in the game. Maybe if you want your players to score more gameplan ways to get them more looks.

The whole organization seems to have decided that the way to win in the playoffs is to generate little and give up nothing.

These last few years of bettmans nhl it is becoming clear that the winner of the Stanley cup is the team that can get away with the most penalties and dirty plays...that is all.

A complete overhaul of the reffing system is needed.

1. Chips in the puck and ice to record pucks crossing the blue line.
2. One ref in the stands and one in the box watching all plays behind the play. The ref in the box has the right to view immediately all calls on the ice in real time. Can blow the whistle from the box if needed.
3. All overtime and goals in final five minutes of a period.....quickly review able by refs on ice, in box and in stands.
Penalties for embellishment also callable based on review

About time. How long are they going to leave that front office toilet unflushed? Losing that consistently and for the same reasons with the same players for 7 years demands, nay, screams out for changes to be made.

Thats what I was thinking. I don’t recall seeing them pan to him even once and that’s odd. Pair that with him not being seen with Dubes (even at odds I don’t see him going the route that would cause such speculation) maybe there’s more to it.
