Marner hasn't been good tonight, but Stamkos has been pretty invisible for Tampa too. The cores have more or less been a wash. At minimum if the difference in this game was the cores, it's a 3-2 game going into the 3rd.

My argument isn't that our core has been incredible. They've just been fine. Like Tampa's core has been fine (an over inflated fine due to repeated powerplay opportunities).

The big difference is the 3 goals and 9 points from Tampa's depth. Corey Perry has 1G 2A, Pierre fucking Bellemare scored while our depth makes key turnovers and take penalties.

At this point you've gotta try it. At least if Woll gets pumped, you now you have to go back to Sammy in game 2. If Woll is good, well...play him. Sammy has had a fine season as the 1A, but nothing he's done should give you the confidence to run him come hell or high water.
