Well obviously but without a QB your PP will suck. Take Bouchard off that PP and it will be considerably worse. You just don’t like Hutson. I knew two years ago after I saw him play in person at BU that he was the real deal. He's the real deal, regardless of his size or how others his size have fared in the NHL.

No knock on Bouchard but highly doubt he puts up those numbers on teams without top players

Age, fit and upside has to be considered, come on now, like you would for any trade. I’m not asking which defensemen are better than Lane, but who you would trade him for 1-1

Makar, Q. Hughes, Dahlin, and probably Haiskenen. That doesn’t mean I think he’s the 5th best d-man in the NHL, obviously. But he is super valuable just based on how he can impact the power play, in ways that “better” d-men cannot, and he’s not that bad defensively (and should improve as he matures).
