I read that Matthews leads the league in scoring period since November 1. He had 1 goal and 2 points in his first 6 coming off the wrist injury, and since then has 39 goals and 70 points in 47 games (122 point pace). Marner is playing at a 123 point pace over that span.

Matthews & Marner have both been beasts in individual playoff series before.

Just can never seem to get most or all of the big guns going at the same time and/or get big dick goals from them in decisive moments in the playoffs.

But yeah, it kind of beggars belief to think they can’t or won’t figure that out.

The NHL (Bettman) are fucked. He is more concerned with keeping Arizona in place and not a word about the change of rules once the playoffs begin.
Every damn tough "hockey" play involves someone committing an infraction.
 
No way it doesn’t happen at some point. Marners been a 95 point guy for 4 years in a row now. The last leaf to have that sort of sustained run was sittler.

meanwhile matthews has maintained a 60 goal pace since keefe took over. Which no modern leaf has ever done.

They need to sack up in the playoffs we’re spoiled as fuck.

Matthews has to deal with that in the regular season too, so he should be as prepared as anyone.
 
This is hilarious, but I have thought about the leafs trading for Chara.
I have wondered if he could help in the playoffs, especially when going against a team like Washington.
I agree that Chara is slow but he always has been (eye test lol). I think he could serve a real purpose out there without having to dress and play the cliffords of the league.

Remind him that teams with nothing to lose play looser. That’s all this is. They know they’re out and are playing well. Nothing more. Still not a playoff team with the current roster.

I would just ask him over and over how the quest for the 14th overall draft pick is going. So far, MSL has helped it very much!
