GDT #18: 2025/11/13 - Jokers vs Kings

Roy and Joshua play hard but their production has been pathetic.

Domi is a disaster. Maccelli is garbage. Jarn sucks. Laughton. Blais. Holy shit.

The core 4 plus Robertson and McMann is all there is here. Rielly, OEL, McCabe, while the other half is atrocious.

There's no winning with this. Unless you can trade all these guys and get better players somehow, they have to fire the goon and see if someone else can do better. But it sure feels like Tre is trying to swing some trade first with the Rasmus rumors, and I shudder to think of what he's going to do. It's curtains for this era, unless they fire everyone and do something drastic now.
 
Scott Laughton has played 17:10 minutes in 2 games this year. If nothing else he is a useful bottom 6 guy.

Nic Roy was a good #3 center. Carlo was a solid #4 guy in Boston. Cowan should be playing.

The team looks like they either have no idea what they're doing, or they've quit. Both of these reflect poorly on the coach. Get somebody in here who can play to these guys strengths.

Saw an interesting comment on Twitter, that Berube finally has a #3C that he can match against the other teams' top line, rather than making Matthews do it all the time. As we can see, whatever we're doing is not fucking working.

Wonder if Zeke can work the nerdies to see if there's anything to this theory. Is he getting overworked in the defensive end?

It's difficult to impossible to properly assess players when the team has so clearly quit on playing their coach's shitty style of hockey. Yeah, there's a pretty pretty decent roster of NHL hockey players here, and the first steps towards moving forward is firing Berube out of a cannon.

Roy's probably just shit tbh. Probably not a real C either above the 4th line.
