I'd like a win tonight to make our stats look pretty for my personal official subjective "first early takes" mark of the season - the combination of every team now being past the 1/4 mark, plus american thanksgiving, plus the november month-end to make stats a little cleaner, plus this nice little measuring stick florida road trip against our biggest rivals.
Unfortunately we got beat by florida (though the scoreline was a bit unfair), so tonight's a little more important because an oh-fer florida trip would be pretty disappointing, especially with Matthews back.
Also a regulation loss tonight would let the Bolts tie us for first in the division (though we'd still be ahead on tiebreaks), which would be a little annoying.
Also a weird thing so far this year is that we're awesome at home (10-3-0) but suck balls on the road (3-4-2) so it would be nice to start getting some road results starting tonight.
And it would be a nice relief if Matthews' return came with a much needed offensive boost at 5v5....without damaging our suddenly very good PP.
