GDT #30: 2024/12/14 - no excuses

In the last 20 games we've scored more than 3 regular time, non EN goals twice. Once against Tampa, and once against Montreal.

At least we're awesome defensively though, I guess.

Slow roster, slow style of play.

They've defanged the team, and they did it on purpose. They wanted this. Slow, heavy, defensively responsible. Because that has been the problem here this whole time I guess.

The blueprint for this core was always the Penguins or Avalanche. Push the pace, make it a track meet, and trust that your skill is going to come out on top more often than not when you do that. Tinker within that blueprint, but play to your strengths.

But it didn’t work right away. So they decided to try and force these guys to become the LA Kings or whatever the fuck.

And every failure of the shift to slower, older, more defensive was blamed on the things we were becoming less and less of every year.

I literally fell asleep trying to watch towards the end of the second. And then just went to bed. Seems like the right choice
