Eye test that doesn't add up to me.

Willy was all alone in the slot after a pass from the boards.

Tavares turn around top corner snipe.

I guess maybe the 2-on-1 added difficulty but that was a straight up shot with the pass mostly covered.

Nothing, I asked a question re: his contract and if we are happy if he continues to be a 25-60 player. The brigade of sensitive nancies then went off on the gaul of somebody being critical of any player wearing the blue and white.

Why would we be unhappy about a 60 point possession driving forward making market value? You really need to pick your spots better.

I already mentioned why. He is a flawed 60 point player who hasn't progressed at all since his rookie season despite being one of the more talented players in the league. Being critical of him is more of a complement than anything. You are critical of players you know are capable of more.

And I picked my spot just fine. The 2nd half of that period is exactly why I am critical of Willy.

What the fuck does "flawed" player even mean? Is any 7m dollar player not flawed? Hell, you could argue that even McDavid is "flawed." Oilers fans sure don't love his 5 on 5 play lately, particularly defensively. Is he flawed?
 
Those were the two worst possible goals to give up - a shorthanded one and one in the last minute of the period.

I want us to come out guns blazing now and blow them out again.

Watch the 2nd half of the 1st again. You will see why he is flawed. McDavid doesn't get benched by his coach for an entire period and get demoted in the lineup, by two different coaches.
 
I get so happy when Willy picks up points because he always looks so relieved and I figure it’ll quiet the complainers.
 
I dunno what is worse, listening to the homers on the Canes media circus or listening to fucking Greg Millen. Its unreal, where is Joe Bowen again?

What did the guy do, to deserve only radio time?
 
This is what happens when teams get powerplays - they take penalties too. If they're net positive overall on special teams in terms of production, I don't mind this.
 
You knew were were gonna pay for getting 3 pps ... in the first. Leafs are usually lucky to get two in a game.
