It gets there by playing more. Play him more.
(a) This is not always the case, and (b) even if we assume that the vast majority of "blue chippers" become above-average NHLers, it certainly doesn't mean they do it in the 1st year. The top 3 or 4 guys in the draft are usually close to ready, and it's probably why Liljegren dropped in the 1st round. He wasn't close to ready, and we got a great player as a result. But it is going to take time.Nah. We’re in. Blue chips will rise to the occasion anyway. Gotta have faith in them to perform. Marincin isn’t going to be the reason we make or miss the playoffs, and neither will Lilly, so it’s in our best interests to play him.
