GDT #68: 2025/3/19 - Walk the Line

huge shift for the domi line there.

went out for the ozone shift after the icing. didn't win the zone but forced a loose dump out and then unfortunately carlo iced it the other way (robby couldn't make contact).

so the domi line forced to take the dzone draw against a "stacked" Avs top pair (Nelson replaced one of the wingers on the MacKinnon line).

Domi lost the draw, but some very good dzone coverage let them get the puck out cleanly and right off on a very dangerous rush, then took control of the ozone and mccabe rings a wicked high slot wrister off the inside of the post.

that'll earn them some cred with coach.

still think that carlo call was BS (or the noncall before the call at least) but refs have been good.
 
yikes one lost stick by mitch leads to a fire drill final shift. lucky not to give up a goal.


but overall we showed up tonight and showed we don't really have a problem playing with this team. we've been far from perfect and still it's been at worst even, but really we got pretty unlucky on a couple juicy posts that period.

so now we see if we can do what it takes to win this one.
