rielly fucked up good on that last play. His awareness was terrible and he made a critical mistake.

Nylander had the centre (I think it was zacha), Tavares pressured Witherspoon with the puck. Marner had the cross ice pass. Boosh had geekie. Rielly backed off to the slot.

he then took a few steps toward the blue line, and when Witherspoon released the puck he turned to the outside AWAY from Pasternak (who was his guy into the zone).

This gives pasta the speed advantage and outside position.

Just shit stuff.

His pair was fine overall, even with him being a non factor. I don't mind it as the second pair. The problem of course is that they had 3 Lybushkin's and no #1s or 2s. They were never winning shit with that d corps, let's be real.
