I think he's saying their plugs make them a worse hockey team overall but a better hockey team in particular months of the year? Like they'll lose more but then they'll win more later.
 
Pretty crazy how good Mo was. Even made Ceci look good.

If Mo managed to heal up whatever else was bothering him before, watch out.
 
I dont even know if dermott goes back to the 3rd pair playing like this.

Maybe we do get that Muzz-Rielly pair.
 
The reason that these players will be good in the playoffs is simply because the rules change in the playoffs. Because...reasons.
 
Sandin looking like a tire fire in this one, might be time to alternate his games with Marincin. Overall though great game for 2 periods. Cooper must’ve lit a fire under Tampa’s ass in the 1st intermission.
 
Its like they got Coleman and Goodrow cause its what they think is needed to combat Boston ( it isnt) and it might make them succeptable to the Leafs
 
Special teams came through tonight, much like our last meeting. A couple PP goals and perfect PK is a winning recipe going forward.

That’s one narrative for that record post-deadline.

Another would be losing Steven Stamkos to an injury in the first game post-deadline.

Bolts are not as effective on the PP without the Captain.

Same same re Victor Hedman.

Bolts without Stamkos is one thing.
Bolts without Hedman hurts the team on a whole other level.

No Hedman, we can close the book on Tampa’s hope to achieve anything.

McDonagh’s offense has completely dried out, and he’s also not looked great since coming back from that last injury.

Boston is not the issue for Tampa Bay.

We beat them in the playoffs last time we met in 2018, and our record against them in the regular season since then is not bad.
(6 wins in 8 games)

They are the team to beat in the Atlantic, but I like the Bolt’s chances against them.

We don’t have any complex playing the Bruins.

Washington and Columbus tho, that’s a different story.

These last bunch of games makes one wonder if this team depends on its forwards to do everything.

If the forwards play well offensively, the team gets scored on like crazy.
