GDT - Auston vs. his hometown team | 7:30PM EST SNET

Mod Squad
There isn't a better time to snap our losing streak with Auston taking on his hometown (and childhood) team.

This is the first time the Leafs face the Yotes since the draft, and the Yotes are in pretty sad state, with Vrbata as their leading scorer, Max Domi out of lineup (hand injury from a fight) and OEL is kinda the lone bright spot on the team.

It's also a chance for the Yotes to see Marner in person ... Marner is the guy they passed on to take Dylan Strome ahead of him, and Strome is now busy preparing for WJHC after returned to the junior earlier this season (at least Strome is completing dominating the OHL)

Fact is the Yotes are a bad team right now and the Leafs desperately need a win tonight. We just need to come out strong, and finish them early.

Go Leafs Go!!!

Considering that the highly-touted Toronto-born kids always seem to torch us when they play us for the first time (for example, McJesus and his goddamn five-point night against us last year), it'd be great to finally have some role reversal and see Matthews score a hatty against his childhood team, or something like that.

Depends on what Smith shows up. Hes been hot and cold from game to game lately

Just coming off a 37 save win recently against the Wings

Yeah, but the Wings are horse poop. And the same goes for Smith & the Coyotes.

No excuses for this one. The Coyotes are a flat-out awful team that's just as young as the Leafs are. And we've already given up two points to one cellar-dweller in the last week.

I agree but he has a tendency to stand on his head and we had a tendency to make mediocre goalies look like Price

Hopefully that trend is over

Hey guys I've noticed that there are a few posters in here that are looking for streams every once in a while. I haven't heard any mention of this but on Reddit you can download something called NHLGames it's on version 1.08a right now. With this you can stream every game with either the home or away broadcast in any resolution you'd like. I've been using it for the last little while and it's amazing. Here is the link:http://onstreams.com/NHLGames_v1.0.8a.zip
