Kessel's been in on both goals. The first one is obvious, but I think everyone expected Bozak to pass it to his buddy on the 2nd as well.
 
Playing well again. Dominating. In every facet.

Unfortunately we make one mistake and it's in our net. That has to stop.


In addition to the obvious system changes in the more aggressive forecheck and neutral zone stelups....I also Saw a little thing that I absolutely love and it's something other teams do against us all the time - the Santo line was dominating the cycle and worked the puck back to Jake on the point...but a BJ was closing on him so he made an easy play without needing to look - he quickly dumped it crossice into the far corner....exactly where Santo was skating hard to as soon as the puck went back to the point, also without needing to look. That is EXACTLY the kind of easy detail that wasn't part of randy'S playbook - an easy blind out in the offensive zone to keep the forecheck going and most importantly making life easier for the point men and reduce the risk of turnovers. It's amazing to me that under randy they never seemed to know where their linemates were supposed to be. It sounds stupid easy but it just didn't happen under randy.

I'm not sure it's possible to overstate just how awful a coach randy was. The instant difference in possession play is hilariously insane.
