Their Holiday cups are plain red. It's offensive. :rolleyes(2):

Apparently people wanted snowflakes, reindeers and Santa Claus. Of course if those would have been on the cup, other groups would have been offended.

This stupid generation is ****ing pissing me off!

Millenials are weird

Excuse me sir/ma'am/genderless, check your privilege. As I type from my Safe Space.

Millenials are weird

I think it's more about them being raised to be all accepting and completely tolerant, no matter how dumb the concept is.

No, no, Johnny, you have to accept that Suzy identifies as a dog and you have to accept her for who she believe she is.

(Meanwhile, nobody bothered thinking about whether or not Suzy should be in a mental institute or not.)

And yet they are completely intolerant in their tolerance but are too dumb to see the irony.

that is true

We had an issue up here regarding authorizing a law school in a private fundamentalist Christian university which has a covenant where you agree no intercourse (hell almost no outercourse either) outside of marriage and no drinking alcohol or drugs usage.

It also holds that marriage is between a man and a woman only so two gays who were married would have to abstain from intercourse.

Anyway, long story short, millenials were up in arms over the school being discriminatory to our gay/lesbian brethren. I said the easiest solution, drop the marriage is man and woman only given we have same sex marriage then there is no discrimination. Furthermore no gay/lesbian students would want to go there, so maybe 5 at most would be negatively affected.

Millenials fought hard as hell and were intolerant to those who supported the Law Society's position to sanction the school. They were intolerant to Christans but that was ok as long as gay and lesbians were not discriminated against.

I don't think that's it as much as:

everybody is cheered on as special from a young age (ie..."my son is in the 90% percentile in xxx" or "he's not good at math but he's very creative"

their parents are probably the most affluent generation of all time, so expectations are off the charts. two generations ago, kids were reminded about tough times (ie depression, WWII, etc)

In the immortal words of George Carlin (RIP)

"U'r not a loser Johnny, u'r the last winner here's ur trophy.."

The problem is they were the first generation to grow up without getting a thorough beating at least once a month, by whatever their mothers had at their disposal, broomsticks, rolling pins....

Something to be said about the positive benefits of a parent beating their child...

That was too excessive, but as is very common, the correction bommeranged to another extreme

we don't like you young whippersnappers who think the world owes you because you were born in the 1980s and prefer transit and small cars

yeah man, we had to wait all week to watch cartoons on Saturday. When we got older they charged us a small fortune in beers for a CD with 12 songs.

Nothing is scarce anymore, which I applaud by the way.
