GDT: Canes @ Blackhawks 4/14 6:00

The one thing I noticed is he’s not playing as deep in the crease as he had been.
I think he's just been reading the play quicker and getting to the top of the crease sooner. That keeps him from getting stuck deep quite so much. He was struggling with his angles early in the year and then he got gun-shy and played deeper, which caused a different set of problems. He's not that technical, so most of it comes down to confidence with Kochetkov ... and thus far he seems to mostly veer wildly between WAY too much and WAY too little

I'm surprised and delighted by Kochetkov's return to form, as I was about ready to give up on him earlier in the season. A dependable goaltender is exactly what this team needs and a far cry from where we were a few months ago. However, as long as he's healthy, Freddie is our #1 netminder as far as I'm concerned. He's looked fantastic since his return to the team.

On the other hand, both TDA and KK haven't done enough to show that they can be starters on this team, although I thought Tony did a reasonable job quarterbacking the PP.

While once again making an utter hash out of a couple of transition defense sequences. He might be the worst decision maker in open ice that I've ever seen. It's absolutely no wonder that we couldn't literally give him away at the deadline.

Yup, he was as lost as anyone I've ever seen 5 on 5.
