Ended the regular season with a whimper, but it was fun watching the new guys. Not much fun watching Martin.

Most fun game in a while, in part because the stakes were basically zero (except injuries - hoping Fast is OK).

Nadeau impressed. All 3 new guys made some rookie mistakes, but don't really care a bit as they've had so little time with the team. The PP looked good with the rotation, would like to see more of that.

College kids are rarely ready to step directly into NHL action, so chucking three of them out there at one time was going to be destabilizing ... but again, with no stakes who rally cares? They obviously needed to give Martin a shakedown start before the playoffs, just in case he's needed. And hoo boy did he ever need it. Regular season done. Let's get started on the playoffs

Full props to Spencer Martin for getting a few wins for this team when the goaltending was a hot mess several weeks ago...that's the kind of thing that earns a man his name on the Cup in a Championship winning season when you are a third goaltender or a healthy extra in the playoffs!!!
