The new look Canes kick off a back to back in the Motherland.

Waddell trolled all of us in his presser. “We like this group better”. Kuznetsov will play, where is anyone’s guess. I’d expect Kochetkov in goal today with Freddie going tomorrow.

The Devils appeared to wave the white flag yesterday when they traded Tyler Toffoli to Winnipeg. Then in the span of about an hour, they remade the crease, sending a pick to Montreal for Jake Allen and Vitek Vanacek to San Jose for Kaapo Kahkonen. Allen was with the Habs in Raleigh on Thursday, we could see him today. Toffoli was their leading goal scorer but Bratt, Hughes and Hischier all have at least 20. Bratt leads with 42 assists. The Devils can score, averaging 3.31 goals per game. But they can’t stop anyone, giving up 3.49 goals per game.

Big ABC for TV today.

Neither of the Devils new goalies made it in time for the game today. Apparently it's Daws' turn in net. Losing Tofoli will hurt their ability to convert xGs to Gs, but shouldn't really change much otherwise. Things have seemed weird up there since the coaching change but nothing clarifies like the sight of a team you don't like very much.

Guentzel is with the team, Andersen is not, he stayed in Raleigh. Since he wasn’t going to play there was no sense in him traveling just to back up.

Necas on the PP gets the boys on the board.

Gold had the Devils writer from The Hockey News on the pregame and she said one of the reasons why Ruff got whacked was the Devils inability to start games on time. Today is their 64th game, they’ve given up the first goal in 72 or 73% of them.

didn't realize Meier was that good he should get an award for Acting.. (and yes Svech should be called on the gloved punch)

These assclowns can’t even get a call right in slow motion from 9 angles and 5 minutes to look at it. Best game WORST F’ing league
Yep! Butchered initially on the ice, still get it wrong after five minutes and countless looks, it’s more about protecting their own awful officials then getting it right and following the rules. Rod’s goalie interference review record is hard to believe.
