GDT: Canes @ Flyers 3/15 7:00

I think the Hurricanes would've won this game no matter what, but Pyotr had to be really good at times to prevent the game from being at least close.

A game we should have won - and did so convincingly. Like Cmal, I hate to break up a thing that's going well and wonder about the effect of inserting either Orlov or even Svech into the lineup. It's gonna happen regardless, so might as well find out sooner rather than later.

This 4 day break is probably good and bad. Hopefully they heal up and get a chance at practice to figure out something else to try on the PP. I'm also hoping they don't lose their momentum.
I suggest they just leave standard 5 on 5 lines out there w/o Orlov.

Any takers?

I’m good if Svech sits too. Tired of stupid penalties— be the power forward we need him to be.
I'm OK if he sits until he's healthy. This team may not need Svech while everything's going well in March, but they'll darn sure need him when things get weird in the playoffs. If sitting him means he's more likely to be good when it matters, fine. If not, then plug him back in and keep working on the power play

Honestly, Morrow is maturing right in front of us. I didn't particularly get pairing him with Ghost, but it's working. Maybe it's just that Ghost is so good at picking his spots to go into his bag of tricky offensive moves that it's giving Morrow a few clues on when to take chances and when to be careful. I'd love to see him get better at closing his gap after the opponents gain the zone, but that's a feel thing that needs time. You can get away with dangling in the half space in the A, but not against NHL forwards.
