Lost another faceoff, Kochetkov couldn't handle the first shot, Lee beat Slavin to the rebound.
We’re getting destroyed in the circle, winning less than 30% of the draws so far.

Abused at the dot tonight but no excuse for the lackluster play after the first 5-10 minutes…looked like shit most of the night and I’m not talking about the two newbies…you’re going to need another center.
Bigtime evident that they need a couple of practices to sort out OT rotations without Necas. I'm not that upset or surprised they dropped the first OT after he left, even though Kooch really should have had that one.
FWIW, the Canes have really struggled to control the pace in every game they've played against the Isles since Roy took over. So, no real shock to see that continue, really. They kick the Canes around in the faceoff circle pretty much every time they play, so that's no shock either. Big roster changes, no practice time at all to absorb any of it ... meh. They got a point. Go work on some stuff and figure it out.
Big picture-wise, I thought Rantanen settled in with Aho's line pretty well by the end of the 2nd and Hall looked pretty good with Svech and KK. No real surprises there. Those are smart, experienced players and they'll figure it out in time.
