That made up for a lot of the posts and crossbars that Orlov has dented this season. Other than maybe not flinching, I don't quite know how a goalie can be in a better position. He had the short side completely covered, wasn't playing small like our goalies are often guilty of. There was nothing far side really either. Just a perfect shot.

He was helping defend. He pushed Kesselring into a better defensive position to cover Orlov. Or something.Assist to Bunting for "pushing" (cross-checking) Kesselring out of the way.
That was the old ear shot/haircut riser that the goalie really has no chance on, Slavin scored a playoff goal on Sorokin and the Islanders last year from a similar angle at home. That made up for a lot of the posts and crossbars that Orlov has dented this season. The guy behind me said "he had a puck-sized window" and I think he was about right. That Orlov goal was something else.
The Coyotes has ONE even vaguely dangerous possession the entire 3rd period. One. Insanity. The Yotes finished the 2nd period with 11 shots on goal. They finished the game with 11 shots on goal. Their last shot came with a little over 5 minutes left in the 2nd.
The NHL stats guy kept alternating between 1 and 0 shots during Gold’s post game. I heard one go off Raanta’s pads with about a minute left, but they must have decided that it wouldn’t have gone in, IIRC, it was kind of parallel to the goal line. The Coyotes has ONE even vaguely dangerous possession the entire 3rd period. Yeah, Raanta redirected it, but it was never on target. I was just happy that he hadn't fallen asleep by then. He didn't even have that many pucks around the boards to handle at that stage. The NHL stats guy kept alternating between 1 and 0 shots during Gold’s post game.
