GDT: Canes v. Devils 3/28 5:00

Still not sure what the ref saw to call that charge
Me either. This is the rule on charging. I’m not sure which criteria that check met.

Rule 42 - Charging

42.1 Charging
- A minor or major penalty shall be imposed on a player
who skates, jumps into or charges an opponent in any manner.
Charging shall mean the actions of a player who, as a result of
distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. A
“charge” may be the result of a check into the boards, into the goal
frame or in open ice.

If the NHL is going to enforce this ridiculously amorphous rule, maybe they can add a more, like Loitering or Showboating.

After a disappointing first period, I really liked the way we took over the 2nd and 3rd. We got to our game and didn't give the Devils any room to breathe.

I mean … I’m not sure how “clear” it is to “go through” the Hurricanes. Unless you plan on getting your forechecking game on Florida’s level of course. Puck moving D ain’t it, boss. Disturbing their possession game with your own is.

He saw a Ghost. It was right there, man.

Seriously, he couldn’t tell you either. He threw his arm in the air and made up his mind what to call afterward. Typical NHL nonsense.
