An immediate chance to put last night and whatever that was behind them.

Expect Tokarski in goal. Beyond that, who knows.

The Pens are at NHL .500 with 40 points in 40 games. They’re 5-3-2 in their last 10 and are coming off a shootout loss to the Panthers on Friday. Rickard Rakell leads with 18 goals, Sidney Crosby has 31 assists and is averaging more than a point per game. Michael Bunting has 11 goals but 7 are on the PP, he has to be watched. In goal, they go with Tristan Jarry and Alex Nedeljkovic. Jarry has started 18 games and is at 3.47/.888. Ned has started 15 games and is at 3.18/.889. Jarry played Friday, maybe we see Ned tonight. They‘re tied for 14th in goals per game, just over 3. They’re tied with Columbus for DFL in goals against, allowing 3.63 goals per game. With all that firepower, their PP is still lethal, tied for 3rd at 28.3%. They’re tied for 12th on the PK.

Pens might get Letang back, hes missed the last 3 games but was a full participant at practice yesterday.

Maybe we can get Necas to take a single SOG this game...

for all the people who wanted to sign him to 8 years after the first couple weeks of the season, I'm glad that GMET has a brain and wanted to see if this was just an extended Necas hot streak, which it appears to have been.

Hoping everyone is mad about last night's fiasco and will bring some intensity to today's game. I don't think anyone looked good yesterday and our inability to make accurate passes, zone entries and establish puck possession was about as bad as I've seen this season. Do better.

Tonight’s Official:

Referees:
Jake Brenk #26, Francois St. Laurent #8

Linesmen:
Matt MacPherson #83, Tyson Baker #88

Brenk and MacPherson worked the Canes-Wild game last night too.

I’m guessing the game time decision is Jarvis. He banged knees with someone in the 3rd.

Ned in goal for the Pens.

Edit: Carrier isn’t warming up, this is how they’re skating

Jarvis - Aho - Roslovic
Robinson - Kotkaniemi - Necas
Svechnikov - Staal - Martinook
Jaaska - Drury - Blake

Slavin - Burns
Orlov - Chatfield
Smith - Walker

Bunting makes it 2-0. Canes couldn’t clear the zone and the Pens rotated through 2 lines before Bunting slams it home from the hash marks.
