Trouba is either hurt or has just lost a step. He's missing is targets and getting called for frustration penalties because he's not connecting. Been happening most of the year.

He’s also not a good skater anymore. There was one shift in the 2nd, the puck came up his side toward the offensive blue line. He couldn’t decide whether to pinch or defend so he did neither. He left himself in no man’s land and hung Skjei out to dry to defend a 2 on 1. Skjei didn’t have a great game, PP goal notwithstanding, he surely doesn’t need “help” like that from his partner.

I watched him fairly closely and I'm unable to discern whether the issue is that his skating has declined or that he just takes so stinking long to make a decision that he's constantly playing catch up. Maybe it's a bit of both, but that boy takes for freaking ever to process information and make a choice ... and then it's still likely to be both dumb AND late.
