GDT: Canes v. Slugs 11/4 7:00

So what happens to the hats? Do they get thrown away or can you go somewhere and try to find your hat again?
 
Credit where credit is due, Buffalo is chalk full of great young talent and finally have a coach that is putting it all together, they will be a tough out all year and could steal a playoff spot.

The Canes got to their game and that power play was the difference, Aho was in a different stratosphere last night compared to everyone else, and full props to Turbo for showing signs of coming out of his slumber.


Sunday should be great, we get the Leafs and third string goalie Erik Kallgren less than 24 hours after they will have their hands full with the red hot Bruins. The Canes debut the new Reverse Retro reds Sunday too.

They‘re a couple of players away, but they’re big and fast and pretty young. They only have 3players over 30, Anderson, Okposo and…Skinner
 
Gave up my normal seats to attend my hockey buddy's birthday celebration in Suite 126. Great friends, food and drink contributed to a great game experience (after a few customary Cane snafus). Moreover, wasn't close to any annoying Slug fans, so our evening was drama-free.
 
Ah, here we go, from Canes Country:
  • This was the first game since he was traded, that Jeff Skinner did not register at least one point against the Carolina Hurricanes. He had 6 goals and 10 points in seven games coming into the matchup.

Oh yeah. This is not the Buffalo team from 2 years ago, for sure. People keep acting like Kevyn Adams is some sort of dipstick, but he's done a great job building a young group with depth, speed, size and skill. That team is actually fun to watch now. Are they a finished product? No way ... the goaltending is weak and the D group needs time to mature. But that team is a handful, and Dahlen and Power are a heck of a couple of building blocks.
