GDT: Canes @ Vegas 2/17 10:30

Big two points!!! Watched the first, Martin made some difficult saves to keep it only a goal down after one, went to bed, woke up about 2am and there it was…3-1 good guys! Hope the traveling Huge Caniacs in here enjoyed that!
I did the same thing - too tired to stay up after the first - but I didn't wake up to see the final. Looks like Martin has earned his spot on the roster. Great win by the Canes - maybe Andy had something to do with it!

The win brings my road record to 1-1, the only away game I had ever been to was at the Panthers about 10 years ago on the last day of a typically disappointing season. There were lots of Caniacs in the house last night, scattered all over.

Martin doing his best to make things awkward around here when Freddie gets back. Carolina's goalie room has been non stop awkward all season, so nothing new there I guess. Put it this way ... the Canes have thrown him in the deep end twice now and he's been very good. His two starts, both Ws, were on the road in Boston and then Vegas. And he was arguably the first star in both games. Small sample size but impressive results none the less.

Canes put on a clinic in the third on how to lock it down on the road with the lead, particularly the last seven minutes or so.
Jarvis is an absolute warrior.
Jarvis has in fact this year shown a true warrior tendency to soldier on through various blocked shots, big hits and overall nicks, dings and casualties. Kid isn’t that big but he’s tough as nails and you gotta have that when you trend towards the smaller side in the league. He’s put on some good muscle which has helped!

Instant offense whenever the puck hits his blade.
