TV: TSN3, PRIME

Honoring a Legend: Fans attending tonight's game are encouraged to be in their seats by 4:15 p.m for the first jersey retirement ceremony in franchise history, which will include the raising of Selanne’s No. 8 jersey to the rafters at Honda Center. As part of the celebration, all fans in attendance will receive a replica Selanne jersey retirement banner.

Selanne finished his Ducks career as the franchise’s all-time leader in almost every offensive category, including goals (457), assists (531), points (988), plus/minus (+120), games (966), PPG (182), GWG (77), overtime goals (6) and shots (2,964). He is also the club playoff leader in goals (35), PPG (15), GWG (8), shots (274) and games (96). Selanne helped lead Anaheim to California’s first Stanley Cup championship in 2007, was named the inaugural Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy winner in 1998-99 and won the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy Winner in 2005-06, all as a member of the Ducks. Selanne began his NHL career in Winnipeg, collecting 147-159=306 points with 87 PIM in 231 games prior to his trade to Anaheim on Feb. 7, 1996.

The Latest: The Ducks (26-10-6, 58 pts.) continue a season-high eight-game homestand against the Winnipeg Jets tonight at Honda Center (6 p.m. PST, Prime Ticket/AM 830). The Ducks recently concluded the first half leading the league in standings points and co-leading in wins with the second-best first-half record in club history (behind only 28-8-5 in 2013-14). The team has won two of its last three games (2-1-0), have points in five of the last seven (4-2-1), are 12-4-1 in their last 17 and 15-6-1 in their last 22. In addition, the Ducks have won seven of their last nine games at Honda Center (7-1-0). The club is in the midst of 36-of-37 days within Southern California (beginning Dec. 20 through Jan. 25). The homestand also features visits from Toronto (Jan. 14) and New Jersey (Jan. 16). This marks Anaheim's longest stretch of consecutive home games since Mar. 2-23, 2007, when the club went 6-1-1 in a similar eight-game homestand.

Ducks-Jets: Anaheim and Winnipeg conclude a three-game season series tonight at Honda Center. The Ducks are 11-7-1 vs. the Jets with a 4-4-1 record at home. Anaheim has won three straight games vs. Winnipeg, including a 4-3 overtime win on Dec. 7 and a 4-1 victory on Dec. 13. Ryan Getzlaf leads the club with 1-4=5 points in the first two games of the season series and paces active Ducks skaters in career scoring vs. the Jets franchise (3-10=13).

Ducks team scope: Coach Bruce Boudreau had Anaheim practice longer than usual Friday. "I told the guys today that their will and character have carried them a little bit in the last 10 games," Boudreau said after the practice. "We're slipping in a lot of the little things that we were doing that were making us a really good team. We have to get back to it." Defenseman Eric Brewer, who has not played since Dec. 1 because of a foot injury, is expected to resume skating in the next few days. Anaheim is 3-2-1 in its past six games and 4-3-1 in its past eight. The NHL announced Saturday that Getzlaf has been selected to the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game, his third.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg ended a two-game skid with a 5-4 shootout win against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. The Jets scored three goals in the first 6:39 of the game to jump out to a 3-0 lead, then watched the Kings score four unanswered goals to go ahead early in the third period. Defenseman Zach Bogosian, playing his second game since Dec. 3 after missing 14 because of a lower-body injury, sent the game into overtime when he scored his first goal of the season with 5:56 left in regulation. "I didn't like parts of our second period, but it's tough to win on the road and that's a good win for our hockey club," coach Paul Maurice said. "A little confidence-builder for us to come from behind, even though we took the lead into the third, but then to give it up, to come back, to stay with it." Forward Mathieu Perreault scored Winnipeg's first goal, giving him a goal in two straight and seven in his past 10 games.

I wonder how the Jets fans who came down from Winnipeg feel about our wet and cold un-California like weather? Do they feel like they got ripped off? :drink

75% likely, I'll be in Anaheim around 26th of Feb till March 1st for a few games. The weather better be good BG!

I figure Kariya may not have been invited. Given he's a douchebag for leaving us way back when....money an all.

Sigh, we get all the guys back and are playing our worst hockey lately lol
