The Streak is dead. Maybe start a winning streak?

The Canes hit the ice at 10:30. We’ll see if either Chatty or Walker participate. If they don’t, it’s a pretty safe bet that they’re not playing tonight. Nikishin played nearly 19 minutes on Monday. Morrow only played 8:33 and his only 2 shifts after the halfway point of the 2nd period were the PP early in the 3rd and he closed the game out for the last 1:45.

The Panthers missed Reinhart, Greer and Mikkola on Monday but all 3 skated before they flew to Raleigh yesterday. They’re skating today, so we’ll see.

I flew up to New York on business this morning.

The bad news is that the White Sox-Mets game I was supposed to go to tonight with a client has been moved up to a 1:10 start due to impending rain, so I won't get to go.

The good news is that I found out about the schedule change before I left and instead of packing my Mets jersey, I packed my Canes jersey, which I will wear while cheering on our boys at a Canadian sports bar opened by a few Cornell alum that I haven't had an opportunity to visit yet.

Yeah, no idea what was ever specifically wrong with Mikkola and Greer so I guess that sounds plausible. I'm less convinced Reinhart will be a possibility but we'll see. They could all be in the same boat as Chatfield. And by boat, I mean bait bucket.

Either way, Florida is going to dial up a different scheme on the forecheck/trap now that Carolina finally remembered how to break the old one. So, Brindy's going to have to adjust on the fly. Last time a team figured out Mo's pressure scheme, the Leafs got beat like a baby seal in the next game, so pardon me for not being terribly optimistic. You know what could even the odds? Getting a freaking call and a power play goal early. Yeah, like that's gonna happen. I hope Freddie put Geritol on his muesli this morning. I think he'll need the iron.
 
No changes at the morning skate, both Chatty and Walker are missing.

Doesn’t seem like he should be playing injured players…😁 seems like injured players would be easier for us to beat. He knows he’s gonna lose and setting up an excuse - “we were playing injured players”
