GDT: Florida Panthers @ Canadiens - Tues Mar 15 - 2016 - 7:30 pm ET

Seriously though, if Matteau, Lessio and de la Rose are not starting in St John's next year, there is no hope for this team.

Big hit on 74, BigMac come to defend him, more i see of BigMac more i get a feeling he will be at best a 4th liner.

Another first round flop brought to you by........ Trevor Timmins the most overated chief scout in the NHL .When is MB going to clean house?
Another dozen games we hope

True, i don't see this guy play in top 2 or even 3 lines, his skating is a real issue..

I don't really see an issue there... A guy his size isn't going to boot around like Byron.

Big guys take longer to develop. He just needs to get his endurance level up to be able to compete in an 82 game schedule.

When you consider that roughly 8 out of 10 1st rounders actually become NHL'ers, McCarron at #25 overall is not that bad at all. Duclair is the only other guy that stands out drafted after BM and he was taken in the 3rd round! (Habs passed on him 4 more times after drafting BM: DLR, Fucale, Lehkonen, Crisp).

PS: The Duclair thing does still anger me for the record. No excuse for missing the bus on a guy playing in your own backyard. In Quebec City FFS!

I can still wait but i don't see anything special in this guy other than his size. Yes, you can deal with skating issue if other aspects of his game was top notch, which isn't.

Seriously our 3rd and 4th are probably worst ones Habs ever had in last 10 years maybe. Getting rid of Weise and Belly is combined 25-30 goals maybe, while Byron, DLR, Mato, Dano, Flynn, Mitchell,Lessio all combined won't give you 20..
