Well obviously. But just trading assets for other veteran slop on a rebuilding team is dumb. The Laine trade was a good strategic one . . . in theory.

my issue is more that he has done little to clear out the shit on the roster, if we are to lose/not win 8 of 10, I would prefer it not be with 17 40 28 55 30 on the ice.Well obviously. Makar, Hedman, Josi, Fox, Hughes, Heisakanem, McAvoy…What's a legit #1 guy?

We need quality depth, not Bergevin type depth.which of course is his job to get...
Not sure what’s your point?None were first overalls
Hugo has done a good job clearing trash , team had too much junk to offload with termmy issue is more that he has done little to clear out the shit on the roster, if we are to lose/not win 8 of 10, I would prefer it not be with 17 40 28 55 30 on the ice.
Meaning D men are hit or miss up and down the draft and are really hard to gauge. Even after they’re drafted. We will get our guys from within. There are a couple that will pan out. No team will trade a solid D, even with cap hit issues, they’ll always trade the question marks and then it becomes like the draft, only with more data behind it.Not sure what’s your point?
We’ll see, there is always a few ones available every summer. I’d be shocked if we don’t add a vet.Meaning D men are hit or miss up and down the draft and are really hard to gauge.
