Agree. But on that line he’ll occasionally get the looks if the opponent is trying to take away the shot from 22 and 14. Seize the moment.

The things i keep reading it sounds like MSL is pushing the players to shoot more.. It is so refreshing to watch this system that MSL is teaching them.. If he keeps this up, Adams finalist for sure..

You watch Marty in practice and you listen to him, it’s so refreshing. Maybe they don’t make playoffs under him ever but boy do they play hard for him and make games interesting. At the very least they’re learning and growing under him and you can’t say that under previous revolving door of trap coaches

I mean, we have a good thing going here and it would be crazy to mess with his game. It’s more a question of him taking in the message to the whole team to shoot more. Playing with 22 and 14 means he could get more looks.
I really don't see us staying ahead of some of those teams. We look really good considering how green our blueline is and our lack of top end forwards. Our goaltending is also not good.
As much as I would love to land a top 5 pick... I'd love to be in the playoffs even more. I just don't see it happening. Another 20 or so games of this and I'll get my hopes up.
I just can't even say enough great things about Guhle. This kid looks unreal.

I am not a tanker but, logic says the other teams will at some point figure out the weaknesses of the inexperienced players and coach, then the hard times will come. It isn't easy making the playoffs in the new NHL.

The root of his "system" is allowing the players to improvise when they see an opening. Subtle changes make big differences. Ducharme was rigid in his system and didn't allow for this and the players just didn't get it.

You need to be walking around the house and Pittsburgh in a Guhle jersey. It's an imperative. Especially the house.
