I chuckle at cucks like Wilde making out that Bluesky is some paradise like the Garden of Eden. The leftists moved there while the fascists like @WeHaveMoreCupsThanYou have stayed on X.

I signed up on bluesky just to get the login name I wanted. I then made the mistake of following Wilde and JD Lagrange to work on the algorithm, I will never learn.

Twitter has been useless for quite some time. Bots, grifters, and trolls all with blue checks.

Bluesky will have to figure out how to handle that.

you basically described all social media, and remember bluesky is a Dorsey creation, so it will be guys like him, Agrawal and guys who ruined twitter to the point the big guy bought it

as an X poignantly set out, those leaving aren't leaving because free speech is done on X, it is because they don't agree with who is allowed to comment now, although I do admit, X has gone downhill since the election campaign

the bluesky fans conveniently don't remember that X banned you for daring to question the covid ten commandments, banned you for saying it came from China etc. FB is no better but that is where I connect with old high school friends so I won't dump that platform.

It was definitely not perfect but significantly worse after elon bought it and let the blue check bots go wild.

FB and insta serve a different purpose for me. So not really relevant.

Im on Bluesky but there are more fascists to troll on X naturally, so I'm staying there too.

First of all, it's bullshit that people are leaving X because "they don't agree with" the posters. It's because what people are permitted to post is abhorrent hate speech and incitement to violence. Any social media platform has to have some form of moderation and community standards otherwise it becomes 4chan. X, as a commercial platform, should be weeding out the fascist extremists, not amplifying them like Elon does.

And no one has forgotten that Twitter before Musk sanctioned Covid deniers. Most reasonable people think that was the proper thing to do. There was a lot less disinformation around the Covid issue back when they shut the wing nuts like Theo Fleury and Jamie Sale down. Their misinformation spreading constituted a public health risk. They both should have been kicked off the platform and jailed.

The irony is that Covid was the line that went too far for many. Anyone that was not toeing the government line was being shutdown, even though the government was the leader in misinformation. Whatever remaining trust in institutions existed went out the windows during that time.
 
It wasn't misinformation. Science is a process. It isn't history. It is constantly evolving and what was true yesterday may prove to be incorrect tomorrow so science needs to be fluid. But as lay people who do not have advanced degrees in immunology, our job is not to decide that we know better just because we saw a video on YouTube. We need to comply with the mandates and accept the fact that when it comes to something as complex as Covid, we know nothing. More obedience on the part of the public would have allowed things to run a lot smoother. But instead we had these keyboard clowns with degrees from Google University saying they knew better. They needed to be shut down.
 
My definition of a fascist is anyone who is a fascist.

If you voted for Trump or support him in any way, you are a fascist.

If you participated in any Freedumb Klownvoy activity, you are a fascist.

If you refused to get vaccinated and then proceeded to also refuse to self isolate or follow mandates, you are a fascist.

If you support Russia but not Ukraine, you are a fascist.

If you vote for or support Poilievre in any way, you are a fascist. Ditto for Danielle Smith in Alberta, Scott Moe in Saskatchewan, and Doug Ford in Ontario.

If you think that drag queens are groomers but not Evangelical Christian pastors, you are a fascist.

This isn't that difficult.
