GDT | Game #20 | vs Crapitals | Thursday, November 20th 7:00 PM EST

Do you think Kahkonen could be any worse? They’re sitting on their hands using hopes and prayers.

With the goalies in the shitter you don’t think they should tighten their game? Not seeing anything like that. It’s pond hockey.

The shine is coming off Marty quickly.
I think you’re overreacting. Besides a few games, the team hasn’t played that badly, plus a string of injuries has been putting a lot of players out of their chairs. I can see Kahkonen get called up though if the goalies can’t find their games soon.

Rebuild is over, and once “The ONE” assumes his proper place, the team will start to regain their confidence & as Dach & Guhle return to the lineup the “real team” will subsequently show itself.

Diekembe & floppy the mentally damaged seal simply can’t handle the demands that go along w being G for a team that has transitioned from the hunter of last season to the hunted
Dach and Guhle return to lineup. Good one. For a day or so, maybe. They need to go.

They’ve lost 7 of 8 age there’s no sunlight busting through. Personally I think you have your head in the sand on just how bad this is. If they want to try for McKenna then sure, I get it. Burn the season in November.

This kind of goaltending can make a whole season go straight down the toilet. We can forget overanalyzing anything else about our play at this point-the goaltending sets off an entire chain reaction that gets reflected throughout our play. Confidence goes, playing scared, etc. .
For the love of Christ I’ve been saying this for weeks only to get eye rolls and ridiculous arguments.

I’ll never understand people. Ever. Blind until they’re not. The signs were all there but nooooo, give more excuses.

An NHL season is a marathon not a sprint, IMO it’s all about managing 10GP increments, not having more than 2-3 sub .500 segments and limiting those segments to max 2-3GP below .500

First 10GP: 7-3
Last 10GP: 3-4-3

Callup Fowler, inject positivity into the lineup and salvage the season

This is shit Sal. Sure injured players will return but the goalies don’t have high levels. Monty is a .897 career guy. That’s his high level.

I really don’t understand how people can delude themselves, including management.

This is a tank attempt if they roll with these two guys the rest of the year.

The goaltending is shit and until it isn’t people need to stfu about PP etc. mind numbing to me.

First 10 games we went 7-3 with a hot goalie that we didn't play enough, a red hot PP and unsustainable shooting % but our underlying advanced stats were not great, 48% Corsi and 47% expected goals diff.

Last 10 games we went 2-5-3 with terrible goaltending and special teams teams that can't do their jobs but the underlying stats are better, 50% Corsi and 53% expected goals diff (5-5).

We were not as good as we were the first 10 games and not as bad as we were the last ten.

Lots of improvements are needed but the sky is not falling. Regardless, this was always going to be a transitionary year for the team, we're the youngest team in the league, expectations needs to be realistic. This is not unexpected for me, except for the goaltending that is worse than anticipated.

He's been a .901 goalie the last three seasons with us. It's not great but it's serviceable, especially given our horrendous our defense was. I sure would welcome .901 goaltending right now. Not the .850 crap we've been seeing.
