Really it is just the goaltending.

but not the best team, US looks deeper and better than we are. All we can hope for is that the US continues its inability to win best on best (they only won in that scenario twice, 1996 when a Canadian scored a goal on a stick so high it brushed our Cup banners)

They have way better goaltending but their forwards and defense are worse imo.
