These players are still very inexperienced. They need more playing time. Barron isn’t a hard defenceman à la Guhle or Struble, but he can be an effective NHLer. IMO, the biggest concern with him isn’t necessarily that he’s somewhat softish, but the brain farts. He can improve on gap control, angles, etc. and become an effective defenceman without destroying people. But he needs to minimize brain farts.
 
There was an article showing how Barron was the most improved player on the team this year. His defensive game is way improved, and he has more offensive instincts and skills than anyone on the team besides Matheson, plus he has the size and skating, and he’s a righty. He’s been facing more harder opposition this year too.

More good than bad right now and I was one of his harshest critic last year.

Forget wiz, he’s mediocre defensively, worst of all unwilling to engage in Dzone puck battles…. like one Patrice Brisebois

As for props…. I did post he should be on the 1st PP in place of Matheson
