No, a welfare point is an undeserved point of any kind. In my book, any game the Habs go to overtime in is a failure and they're getting an undeserved point. All points garnered on OT or shootouts are undeserved.

I thought it was a poorly reffed game from the start. One of those games where the ref decides to factor in and become part of the show when there is no need.

No that is called a "tie" , remember those? The Habs had to come back twice last night.. they deserved the point.. in 1976-77 the Habs best season they had 12 Ties.. what part of the game don't you understand?
