Not worried about Slafkovsky. Dach… need to be patient, but would like to see smarter hockey after the 4 nations cash grab.
IMO that’s the most important facet to be understood - did Dach lose speed due to physical aspect of the injury/surgery or is there a psychological barrier he’s not comfortable pushing, fear his pre-injury carefree style will lead to re-injuring himselfI think Dach just looks slow. Can't carry the play at all.
I feel bad for him but if he can’t overcome that and soon then HuGo need to dump him on someone and find a 2C. Hage not ready yet and Hagens and Misa unlikely for us.He’s already admitted to playing scared
It took Connor Brown all season to get right and took off in the playoffs, just sayin…I feel bad for him but if he can’t overcome that and soon then HuGo need to dump him on someone and find a 2C. Hage not ready yet and Hagens and Misa unlikely for us.
“Soon” means this season, to be clear. It took Connor Brown all season to get right and took off in the playoffs, just sayin…
I think that’s the exact reason why Habs have been trying to delay the Primeau situation as much as possible.I would rather that Dobes plays a lot in Laval. We can use the multitude of mid rounds picks to get a journeyman back up.
Primeau needs to reboot his career elsewhere.
Dach was never fast but he is bringing zero other elements to the teamIMO that’s the most important facet to be understood - did Dach lose speed due to physical aspect of the injury/surgery or is there a psychological barrier he’s not comfortable pushing, fear his pre-injury carefree style will lead to re-injuring himself
He doesnt carry the puck through the neutral zone like he did before. It doesn't really take courage to do this, just good skating skills which he had or has.IMO that’s the most important facet to be understood - did Dach lose speed due to physical aspect of the injury/surgery or is there a psychological barrier he’s not comfortable pushing, fear his pre-injury carefree style will lead to re-injuring himself
Brown is 30 years old and had to work his ass off just to make the league as a 6th round pickIt took Connor Brown all season to get right and took off in the playoffs, just sayin…
We're past the boost phase with Primeau.Should have played Primeau in this game, he would have won easy, Detroit had nothing to offer. It would have given Monty a rest and boosted Primeau's confidence.
Anderson has been really engaged this year, especially in the last month. Armia is doing some good work on the 4th line. The penalty he took, like pretty much all the penalties called on the Habs last night, was bullshit. But Dach is playing tentative. He doesn't skate hard, he doesn't hit, he doesn't win puck battles along the boards. He has no "jam". He doesn't play with any malice forethought like Gallagher. There's no tenacity to his game right now. Shit, Anderson and Armia look more engaged than Dach at present.
