GDT | Game 40 | @ Flyers | Wednesday, January 10 | 7:00PM EST

How did Struble look?

From afar at home: Struble is now bordering on 20TOI per game including OT action. Once again he was the only D who seemed to be able to find outlets and skating room, and wasn’t burdened by the agressive forecheck & physicality of Flyers

IMO he’s cemented a top-4 D spot
So far Struble looks to make the fewest blunders of all our D

Matheson and Savard were putrid last night as well. That was an ugly game that they almost pulled out.

He’s the least bad? 😀

To be fair, the loss of Dach is just too much for this team to overcome given the lack of forward depth.
I'm very surprised they've left Roy in the AHL. I believe it's two reasons:

1) They're bucking the trend of bringing up anyone that can score. That's the good.

2) the 3 goalie 7 D contract clusterfuck is wreaking havoc on the ability to make moves without losing more prospects to waivers. That's the bad.

Hughes said the other day Roy’s got a lot left to learn before earning a call up, seemed disappointed which is rare given Hughes is very stoic

I forgot to mention, for WeHave’s benefit, that last night was “Pride Night” at the game. Lots of butchy lesbians shown on the scoreboard. Whatever.

Hard to understand why he would be disappointed in Roy. 30 points in 33 games in his rookie year. He probably sucks defensively right now, but so does the whole team. Maybe that's the coach's fault.
