GDT | Game 44 | @ Devils | Wednesday, January 17 | 7:00PM EST

They were also without 60 percent of their offense, a/k/a Jack Hughes, tonight. Other than Bratt, who was good tonight, and Hischier, who was bad tonight, the rest of the forwards are a bunch of rando’s.

There’s some talent there, but they don’t appear to be “built for the playoffs”. 4th line is maybe a little physical, but they are ditch diggers.

But he played well tonight. He really did.
Can’t be …impossible I tell ya, analytics are be all and end all.

Just look at all the playoff success All Analytics Team has achieved over last number of years: Leafs, NJD, Canes

They played their best hockey after the Devils tied the game. Pretty meh the first two periods.
I thought Habs were overall clearly the better 5-on-5 team - NJD dominant moment was that PP, attesting to their flawed team building foundation (regular season pond hockey stars vs playoff war of attrition scoring)

HuGo should offer up Anderson for Holz…no retention

Given Monahan’s low cap hit, it might be more feasible during trade deadline period than trying to move someone like Anderson, for example.
If HuGo can find a taker for Armia, freeing up AAV, that’s a grand slam - hopefully his recent motivated play has created some market interest
