We need to stop referring to ourselves merely as a "non-playoff team" and start thinking of ourselves as a bottom feeder lottery team. Then we need to commit to being as close to the bottom as possible.

13 losses vs a few wins?

I'd rather see them win all the games they "should" and lose to top teams. You get a better sense of where the team is, the mercurial play doesn't provide any insight other than a lot needs to be done.

There's no way to gauge improvement this way.

fine....i totally get your frustration now....but I believe we're a bottom 5 team...which is a lot worse than being a non playoff team (bottom 16)

we won a bunch of OT and shootout games....but look at our point differential...we suck hard
