I think it’s more to do with being asked to achieve more than he’s ready for as a 2nd year NHL Dman.
Everyone loves to bring up Sergachev, he had 3rd pairing role w 12-14TOI his 2nd NHL season vs 20TOI+ including PK duties
Sergadick was 3rd pair until our other former first rd pick on that team left
