Yes, but the Gallagher call was terrible and the allowed Edmonton goal was seriously in question as well. Combined with bad luck on the offsides, It got to the point where we had to win on principle alone.

Like I said the other day, there are probably similar veteran minor leaguers all over the place and in Europe who could put together a decent stretch for a team in net. How hard did we have to look to find Hammond? That's why I can't understand teams like Edmonton that can't dig one out for the short term.

Too bad we won't make the playoffs. We now have enough to beat Tampa this year. The West, no problem.

I went to the game and it was nice to hear the Ole Ole chant get going with about 7 minutes left in the game as Oilers fans tried to beat the traffic.
The way the refs were trying to screw us you'd have thought we were playing the Leafs.

I agree but . . . that was a brutal non-call, the type that ALWAYS goes against us when our player is the Hyman. The off-sides were actually off-sides but well worth it to see Suzuki score the nearly identical goal about 20 seconds part. That was hilarious and . . . brutal coaching by the Oilers. Nick scores 75% of his PP goals on that same play and he even did it 20 seconds earlier. Geez . . .
