Tampa had a lot of zone time, but really didn’t generate a ton of chances. It was mostly utilizing the high forward and the blue line. Leafs kept everything away from the net.
Montreal won 12 games to get to the finals that year. Good on them. They deserved to get to that dance that year.Well now that we have the benefit of 20/20 hindsight the Montreal cup run was all will for Price and Weber. Internally they knew that was the last ride for them and everyone busted their humps. Perry ended up signing because of what MB told him after Toronto said no, that they were loading up. Staal the same. Everyone was trying to get Weber and Price the cup, aside from themselves that is.
I think tbays bottom 6 guys did a good job of Getting to loose pucks, which skewed the xgf.Tampa had a lot of zone time, but really didn’t generate a ton of chances. It was mostly utilizing the high forward and the blue line. Leafs kept everything away from the net.

Tampa’s good chances around the net always seemed to be perry, Paul, cirelli or the guy with the weird name. Of their top 3 point was the only one who was noticeable at 5s.Ehh...they had some great fucking chances.

Sergachev was a difference maker last night. He gifted the Leafs their first goal with that horrid clearing attempt.Tampa’s good chances around the net always seemed to be perry, Paul, cirelli or the guy with the weird name. Of their top 3 point was the only one who was noticeable at 5s.
On the back end Sergachev is a difference maker and was able to create. Hedman gives the leafs fits defensively but wasn’t able to do much offensively.
Good thing you traded him away for that windfall.Sergachev was a difference maker last night. He gifted the Leafs their first goal with that horrid clearing attempt.
Separate issue. But we have kids in the pipeline better than Sergachev will ever be.Good thing you traded him away for that windfall.
Maybe 2. Maybe.Separate issue. But we have kids in the pipeline better than Sergachev will ever be.
Guhle and MaillouxThat's a tough ask...
I mean, I assume you're listing Hutson among the 2. But by Hutson's age Sergachev was a 40 point NHL defender and not a tiny NCAA demi god.
I listed who have higher ceilings, not who peaks earlier. And it's maybe. That's a tough ask...
