GDT | Game 65 | at Seattle | Wednesday, March 12th | 10:30 PM EDT

Also, from Therrien-Martin-Julien-Saint-Louis….nothing changes, they are all obsessed by absolutely putting a Dvorak-type player on the ice to start OT.

We get scored-on in record time…..

Enough with this BS….put your best players, and let them be….

Except we've been pretty good in OT this year. Name of the game is possession, that's why teams put on their best faceoff guys. I actually like Marty's approach in OT, he balances it out with a faceoff defensive guy (Dvorak) and his two best players (Suzuki, Huston). If they gain possession, Dvo immediately change for Caufield, if not, they're normally in a decent spot to get the puck back.

That's why I wanted Plekanec traded. So that he wouldn't be available for our idiot coach to put out there in situations where we needed to score.

MSL did the same thing in Seattle. The last minute of the 3rd he had Dvorak, Evans, and all the scrubs out there. He wasn't trying to win, just not lose. He got his welfare point, but he didn't get the win.

Dvorak always starts, wins the faceoff and goes off. Your take is incorrect

Right after the tieing goal, the first line was on. It is disingenuous to make out he didn't try to win.

They don't. They did before the western trip. Remaining schedule far more difficult.
Yeah they needed at least 6 on this trip, but western trips are never easy either, regardless of the opposition.

Only 4 of the remaining 17 can be deemed "easier". Phillyx2, Chicago, Preds.

Get Suzuki to improve his faceoffs….get Carbo, Perreault….whomever, to help him…

This Dvorak thing is a bandaid solution…

When we are contending in a few years, are we still gonna do this ?
Suzuki is actually decent at 51%, just not as good at Dvorak. I don't get the issue at all, and Dvorak actually won that faceoff, it's Huston that got schooled.

Two scenarios, 1) Dvorak wins the draw, he changes and Caufield comes in. 2) He loses, and I'm much happier with Dvorak playing defense than Caufield. And actually 3) He gets tossed out, Suzuki takes the draw. It's smart coaching.
