the save percentage fits the narrative on we need better goaltending, that percentage does not reflect the play of Dobes, you throw that stat out when breaking down last night game. I have seen goalies stand on their heads and come out with .850% ..

That's nice but I've yet to see that with him. He's better than Monty. That's about it.

That's nice that you haven't seen it considering it is obvious that this team needs to score 3 or more goals to win.. Even when Fowler played Ottawa we needed 3. Once the Defensive system tightens up we will win more games with just 2 goals scored.
 
I’ve seen Dobes stand on his head and be the reason they won. He has it in him but is highly inconsistent and his glove hand needs work.

I am not saying he doesn't need work, but he has 21 wins with a gaa 2.97 which is below our average goal out put per game of 3.5, the 2nd highest in the league. Our gaa overall is 3.20 which Dobes and Fowler are below.. Slice and dice anyway you want, this team for the most needs 3 goals or more to win no matter who is net. it has been that way all year..
