I was row 1 of section 208 with the sleeping baby and weird toddler.
 
Son is obsessed with hockey.

We literally have hockey nets in our living room.

He is also mad when hockey isn't on TV (ads, intermission).

It's like climbing Everest and the view from the last row is basically a letterbox where you see the ice and nothing else, including the scoreboard (which is minuscule compared with the scoreboard in Edmonton)

When I went to school in Calgary we would buy nose bleeds for `$14. Then you scope out empties and move later in game. It was a life time ago now.

In 1988-89, we used to line up to get Habs tickets at the old Forum for about $12 I think it was when they went on sale at the beginning of the month for that month's games. My buddy, who used to go with me, says he tells people this now but isn't sure they believe him.

They used to limit sales to 4 per customer. I usually bought a pair. One game I remember the scalpers approached me in the lineup. They asked how many I was going to buy at the wicket. Then they offered a deal-buy two more and they would buy them from me at face value, and give me a discount on the two I intended to keep. So I actually got those two for about $6 each instead of $12.

Hell in the early 2000s there was the Molson Ex section for 15$/tickets. Remember getting tickets in the playoffs in the whites for that famous game against the Bruins when Koivu scored the winner after a big comeback For like 50$. Those were the days.
