Yeah…Carbon still had 5-6 good years as a role player. If I remember correctly, the Habs and Carbo got sick of each other… he questioned how much oxygen St Patrick took up…. and he was dumped for pennies on the dollar. That era was pretty toxic in Habsville

He got caught flipping to bird to a reporter after a bad stretch for the team. Ronald Corey as the gutless pussy that he is made sure he would be gone. Corey get rid of Chelios, Carbo and Roy because he couldn’t stand strong personalities. Carbo played 400 more games and won a Cup after being traded. They all did. They got rid of all the true warriors on this team one by one.

Weirdest part was how his daughter's boyfriend was a teammate and Guy saw in the shower what she saw

Shipped out for Montgomery a few days later… the knee jerk reaction to PR in hindsight played a significant role in the spinning of the wheels by the org: Chelios urinating near U of Wisconsin, then St Patrick on HNIC vs Det, then Carbo’s bird 🖕
 
Thought I’d bring it up…

McGuire was saying yesterday on Melnick’s show: word around the league amongst scouts is Dobes is very vulnerable to high SOG due to subpar positional awareness - his anticipation in G is viewed as very weak so he reverts to dropping down too fast. In other words.. the book is out on Dobes

Habs are keenly aware and it’s the reason Diekembe’s not getting more load management rest
