They've been tanking just fine with or without his consent. I think the far bigger issue was benching Cam York for 50 minutes after he made a mistake in the first period. You really can't do that to young vet. top 4 d-man.

Torts isn't the sort of coach that a team hires when it likes its own players. Torts is what happens to a team when they fuck up and underachieve for too long. The only reason any team hires a guy like Torts is to punish the players and they usually give him free reign to make whoever he wants miserable, not just the scrubs but also the stars.

He is also a good coach to hire when you have expensive players who won't waive their NTC's. That changes in a hurry once Torts is let loose in a dressing room.

Torts is the coaching equivalent of a coffee enema.
