GDT | Game 77 | at Nashville | Sunday, April 6th | 7:00 PM EDT

PK did a good job without Savard, but there were a couple of times the Preds just walked right into the crease uncontested. Savard would not have allowed that.

The team looked gassed most of the game. Rightfully with the travel and 5 in 8.

The schedule is brutal this late in the season. Never seen this. The NHL must do a better job of containing travel late in the year when we have Olympics / 4 nations type of break. Next year we have an Olympics year.

Don’t count on that. This is the NHL.

Matheson is an excellent 2nd pairing guy. Monty is a very good 1B keeper. And <checks notes> they are getting paid below their current usage.
They both need some rest before the playoffs. Would be ideal to clinch the spot by the end of the weekend.

Last night was mostly alll Hutson

(The Athletic) The Canadiens managed 34 shot attempts at five-on-five. Of those, 24 came when Lane Hutson was on the ice. Meaning, of course, only 10 came when he was off the ice. The Canadiens had a 24-19 edge in shot attempts in Hutson’s nearly 20 minutes on the ice and were outshot 37-10 in the other 27:41 played at five-on-five. Hutson finishing the game a plus-2 moved his plus-minus since the return from the 4 Nations Face-Off to a plus-18
